Since its inception, the Buffalo Neuroimaging Analysis Center (BNAC) has been establishing itself as a world leader in global and regional quantitative brain atrophy research in multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neurodegenerative disorders. The Center is committed to the development of new analysis techniques geared toward obtaining a more complete understanding of underlying disease processes. The BNAC strives to determine the sensitivity and specificity of extracranial venous abnormality diagnosis using improved diagnostic tools, and to firmly establish the level of extracranial venous abnormality prevalence in MS patients and patients with other neurological disease and aging, as well as its clinical, MRI and genetic correlates.
