9.4T RESEARCH UNIT

 

The Buffalo Neuroimaging Analaysis Center (BNAC) works with Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the University at Buffalo Clincal Translational Research Center to analyze manetic resonance information acquired on the Bruker 9.4 Tesla Small Animal Micro MRI. These teams work together to produce data for the interpretation of tissue volume, iron, tract integrity, and metabolite concentration. Analysis and acquisition in MRI research are often not mutually exclusive, as proactive analysis of recently acquired information can provide valuable feedback for future acquisition, which thereby enhances downstream analysis output. Strong communication between teams conducting these processes allows for successful research and advancement of MRI technology.
